The B.Voc. in Theatre and Filmmaking at KIHEAT is a production-driven, industry-oriented undergraduate programme designed to develop skilled actors, filmmakers, directors, writers, and creative professionals. Following a 70% practical and 30% theory model, students gain hands-on experience through theatre productions, short films, studio training, live performances, internships, and industry projects.
The curriculum integrates acting, direction, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, production management, virtual production, and AI-assisted filmmaking, while emphasising continuous training in yoga, voice, movement, dance, martial arts, screen combat, and performance techniques to build confidence, creativity, discipline, and stage presence.
A distinctive feature of the programme is its "Learn by Producing" approach. Every semester, students collaboratively produce one theatre production and one film, enabling them to graduate with extensive real-world production experience, a professional portfolio, showreel, and industry-ready skills. Supported by dedicated units such as KIHEAT Theatre Repertory, KIHEAT Films, KIHEAT Studios, and the KIHEAT Performing Arts Centre, the programme functions like a professional conservatory where students learn through continuous creation, rehearsal, and production.
