Masters in Theatre & FilmMaking
The Masters in Theatre and Filmmaking at KATF is an advanced, industry-focused postgraduate programme designed for aspiring actors, directors, writers, producers, cinematographers, and theatre professionals. Built on a 70% practical and 30% theory framework, the programme emphasises immersive learning through live productions, filmmaking studios, research, internships, and professional portfolio development.
Students receive advanced training in acting, theatre direction, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, production design, sound, production management, media law, OTT content creation, and film business, while continuously enhancing their performance skills through voice training, body movement, yoga, martial arts, screen combat, and camera acting.
A defining feature of the programme is its production-centric approach, where students complete one theatre production and one film production every semester. By graduation, they build an impressive portfolio that includes four theatre productions, four film projects, an industry internship, a research dissertation, a major graduation film (20–30 minutes), a professional showreel, and an industry-ready portfolio — preparing them for careers in theatre, cinema, OTT platforms, digital media, and independent content production.

Beyond Software — Training Complete Storytellers
Instead of teaching software alone, the curriculum develops students as visual storytellers. Physical classes such as yoga, acting, martial arts, dance, gesture drawing, and observation training improve body mechanics, timing, expression, creativity, and teamwork — all of which directly enhance animation quality. This creates graduates who understand both the technical and artistic sides of animation and VFX, making the programme distinctive and industry-focused.
